Tatiana started her career with a Master's Degree in Engineering from Moscow Aviation University and worked as a developer of flight navigation systems before immigrating to Canada and retraining as a massage therapist. She is excited about the potential of massage therapy to combine art and science, to provide endless learning opportunities, and most of all, to give her the ability to help others get out of pain. Tatiana graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011. She is pretty adventurous and her experiences include a two-week snowshoeing expedition in the remote forests of northern Russia, a three-month hiking trip to the Kamchatka Peninsula, and four skydives before a knee injury put an end to that activity. These days she enjoys yoga, cooking, and playing outdoors with her two young sons. |
Maryanne Strano, Reflexologist, RHN
Your journey to wellness is the balance of the Mind, Body and Soul.
Eight years ago Maryanne began running, starting with a learn-to-run clinic and gradually moving up from there. She will run her seventh marathon in May. In 2006 she graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition as a registered holistic nutritionist. She still enjoys taking the many courses and seminars offered through this school, including one encompassing "Body, Mind and Soul" where she learned an important lesson: "You must take care of yourself first!" It sounds simple, or perhaps even selfish, but it makes so much sense. We wear ourselves out caring for everyone around us and end up exhausted our selves.
Maryanne is passionate about nutrition, physical activity, health and spirituality. Her favourite activities include cooking, entertaining, reading, cycling, kayaking and traveling. As well as traveling in Canada she has ventured to Colombia, Egypt and Tanzania. She has climbed Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro.
Two years ago she became a certified reflexologist. Maryanne has worked with many clients ranging in age from two to eighty-six. One of her most rewarding moments is watching her very active eight year old grandson as his eyes glaze over in total relaxation when she works on him. He is her biggest fan. She has recently mastered hot stone reflexology and will be studying hand reflexology over the next few months. She also does head massage - which is totally relaxing.
Maryanne looks forward to the opportunity to meet you so that you might enjoy a relaxing and refreshing reflexology treatment as you "take care of yourself".
Rebecca Verdoold, RMT
Rebecca's fascination with the human body and the way that it functions enticed her to take her training in massage therapy at Everest College. She graduated in the summer of 2010 and is very excited about helping clients with pain management, rehabilitation and improved performance.
Rebecca loves to learn something new every day and is an avid hiker. She grew up in Sutton, Ontario, along with three brothers, and played street hockey, soccer and football, as well as volleyball. She currently enjoys walking and swimming. Rebecca has a special interest in temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
